Stonewall Jackson 1824 – 1863 Confederate General during the American Civil War
During the Battle of Bull Run in the Civil War, Jackson received his nickname. At the height of the battle, Brigadier-General Barnard E. Bee stated, "There is Jackson standing like a stone wall."
