Finding Fnet


Remember that force is a vector, so finding the net force on the boat required vector addition.
Fnet = Σ
Fnet = F1 + F2

Remember that vectors are added tip to tail

Fnet = 5000 + -3500 (right is positive, left is negative)
Fnet = 5000 – 3500
Fnet = 1500 N
