In this lesson, you will make notes on how the ideals within the Truman Doctrine guided the economic policies of the United States.

The Truman Doctrine tried to contain the spread of communism by giving financial aid to Greece and Turkey. By doing so, the Truman Doctrine led directly to the Marshall Plan. The Marshall Plan was designed to limit or contain communism by aiding European countries economically.
