Paul Revere was a silversmith and an American patriot who is most famous for alerting the colonists that the British troops were approaching, just before the battles of Lexington and Concord. In addition to Revere's midnight ride, another patriot,Wentworth Cheswell, also rode all night to warn colonists that the British were coming.
