Water covers the majority of planet Earth. About 71 percent of the Earth’s surface is covered with water. It is estimated that there are approximately 1,260,000,000,000,000,000,000 liters (326,000,000,000,000,000,000 gallons) of water on Earth. That is 326 million trillion gallons.

If there is so much water on Earth, why do more and more signs, like the ones shown below, appear in our neighborhoods and communities?
