You will now learn how vascular plants with seeds enclosed in a fruit, or angiosperms, reproduce.
When you hear the word fruit, you most likely think of the food pyramid and your diet. In terms of plant reproduction, a fruit is defined as a ripened ovary of a flowering plant. Fruits contain seeds, either on the inside, such as an apple, or the outside, such as a strawberry. According to the biology definition, a tomato is classified as a fruit because it contains seeds.
