You will be using your notes to record your observations for the following activities:
1. Motion Graph Simulation
Directions:
- Click the link below and watch the simulation for Graph 1. Describe the relationship between the speed of the car and the shape of the graph in your notes.
- Click on Graph 2. Watch the simulation. Describe the graph between 0 and 1 seconds and again between 1 and 2 seconds.
- Click on Graph 3 and watch the simulation.
- Click on Graph 4 and watch the simulation.
- In your notes, describe the similarities and differences in the graphs and connect them to the speed of the car.

2. Understanding Distance, Speed, and Time Relationships Using Simulation Software
Directions:
- Click the link below.
- Set a starting position for the runners by dragging their icons along the tracks.
- Change the direction they face by clicking once on their icons.
- Set the length of the stride for each runner using the controls on the lower left.
- What do you think the race will look like? Who will go farther in 100 "seconds"? Record your predictions in your notes.
- Click Go to run the simulation.

What does the graph show? Did what happen match your prediction? If it did, how does the graph show what you predicted? If not, why do you think what happened was different from what you expected? Record your responses in your notes.
3. Interactivate Bar Graph
Directions:
- Click the link below.
- Study the graph and notice the amount of time spent in each activity. Record this data in your notes.
- Adjust the data to reflect how you spend your day and click on Graph Data. Record your data in your notes.
- Write two sentences in your notes comparing and contrasting the original data with your data.

4. How Different Groups Spend Their Day
Directions:
- Click the link below.
- Click on Age 15-24 and study the graph. Write two observations in your notes.
- Click on Age 25-64 and notice how the graph changes. Write two differences between the graphs in your notes.
- Continue to explore the different graphs available and identify one that most closely matches how you spend your day.
- Record in your notes which graph most closely matches how you spend your day and why.
